A co-founder of SYCON, Marcus has nearly twenty years of project experience in industrial control systems and instrumentation. An avid endurance sports athlete, outdoorsman and musician, he spends his free time working on home recordings or swimming, cycling, running and exploring the great outdoors.
Prior to co-founding SYCON, Jason spent 12 years with boots on the ground commissioning industrial facilities and working in control system maintenance and facility management. As a dad he’s equally hands-on, sharing a passion for toy monster trucks and hot rods with his son.
With a background in electrical engineering and fifteen plus years of control system design and project management experience, Eric brings broad expertise to SYCON. He’s an active father and spends his free time at his kids’ football games, wrestling matches, and gym meets.
A long time I, C & E specialist, Sean operates as a project manager for SYCON, putting 25 years on-the-job experience to work for our clients. Off work, you can find Sean in a duck blind or in his home wood shop.
As a control systems integrator and software programmer Ethan is well versed in several coding languages. As a self described “super nerd” he is well versed in several styles of competitive LARP combat.
Love and marriage brought Gary from his home in the United Kingdom to the United States in 2014 with thirty years of project design, maintenance, and installation experience in tow. A dedicated and long-suffering Liverpool FC fan, he counts the days until their return to glory on the pitch.
Prior to starting in the controls industry, Trent worked as a Nuclear Machinist’s Mate aboard the USS John C Stennis. Combining that knowledge with the experience gained from building, installing and troubleshooting control systems enhances our knowledgebase as a team. Outside of the office, Trent can be found on the water either fishing or kayaking.
Stuart has 10 years of experience in control system engineering and integration in the oil and gas industry with an Electrical Engineering Degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. When he’s not helping your business run smoothly, he enjoys making memories with his wife and children, and also loves cooking.
Curtis’ career in automation has taken him across the U.S. to companies and projects in Florida, Nevada, Colorado, Texas, and now Louisiana. Before arriving in Lafayette he was activated into military service, serving tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
A native of Lake Charles, LA, Chad was raised a good ole’ boy with lots of love and respect. A graduate of McNeese State University, Chad was active in rugby, symphony, drumline, computer science, and PLC courses. When Chad isn’t working, he loves spending time with family, hunting, fishing, playing and composing music.
A paralegal, a saleswoman, accounting professional and business manager, SYCON Office Manager Lynette Brown is, above all, a New Orleans Saints fan. When she can peel herself away from work, she and her husband hit the nearest (or furthest, if the need arises) white sandy beach for much needed rest and relaxation.
Erik is a recent graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science in Engineering. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and calibrating automotive engine management systems.
Tim joins the SYCON International Team with nearly nine years of industrial control system building and designing. Tim enjoys being outdoors, and is an active woodworker. Tim and his wife Mandy spend most of their free time volunteering with the student ministry at their local church
Devin, a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and SOWELA Technical Community College, is excited to join the SYCON team and incorporate his experience as an award-winning designer and education in industrial instrumentation. While out of the office, Devin can be found enjoying the outdoors with a camera close at hand.
A Colorado native and recent high school graduate, Zach relocated to expand his knowledge in the industry. In his free time, he can be found either working under the hood, or expanding his knowledge of computer systems of all types.
Currently a student at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Mechanical Engineering, Jennifer joins SYCON as intern. When she isn’t in school or working, Jennifer loves being a Wyldlife Leader to middle school students.
A long time auto mechanic who went back to college later in life, Joshua graduated from University of Louisiana at Lafayette in Electrical Engineering. He has spent his professional time as an integrator in the oil gas industry prior to coming to SYCON. He now finds use for his tools by helping his three daughters fix their bikes and broken toys.
Chris Simon isn’t just a CAD specialist, he’s a design and planning enthusiast. When not putting in hours drawing up dream automation designs for SYCON clients, Chris takes his love for making things work back to his community, serving on his home town’s zoning commission.
Tony’s career launched at Florida’s Kennedy Space Center in support of space operations. He is happy to have landed back in Cajun Country, loving the crawfish and eager to put his technical background to use as our Business Development Manager.
Having recently returned to her country roots after a 25+ years in the Capitol city, Tanya joins the SYCON as a Project Management Administrator. She is excited to have the opportunity to share experiences from her diverse work history in the industries of project management, governmental services and disaster recovery with the SYCON team. An active advocate for continual improvement, she regularly attends project management (PMI) meetings and kickboxing classes. She also enjoys mixing things up by organizing theme parties, singing karaoke and spearheading wellness initiatives.
